Dedicated to Your Safety
keeping Customers & Team Members Safe
Since Fall 2019, Autobell® Car Wash has been researching and developing a new Interior Disinfectant service that can now assist during the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. We are offering this service to help preserve the health of first responders, government staff members, medical personnel, and essential workers during this important time when so many are relying on them.
PURTABSTM is an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against COVID-19. The disinfectant is applied using a fogging technique after people and pets exit the vehicle. This is followed by a one-minute activation period with car doors and windows closed, and the AC set to recirculate the air.
After the interior cleaning is completed, we apply disinfectant on touch areas of your car, including the steering wheel, gear shifter, push-button start, door handles inside and out, and your keys before returning them to you.
For the protection of customers and team members, Autobell® has instituted social distancing and safety protocols throughout the wash process at all locations. We’ve rearranged our seating areas to ensure customers are waiting six feet apart. Our register areas now include plexiglass or are marked for six feet of social distancing, and team members handling payments are wearing sanitary gloves.
Sanitary Gloves & Disinfect Credit/Debit Cards
Cashiers handling payments, and team members using our fogger for the Interior Disinfectant service are currently wearing sanitary gloves. Gloves are also available for any team member who may want to wear them. Additionally, with each credit/debit transaction, our cashier will apply a disinfectant to your card before returning it to you.
Regular Disinfectant Applications
Every two hours, we use a hospital-grade disinfectant to wipe down our seating areas and high-touch areas as an additional safeguard to protect our customers and team members.
An additional step to promote social distancing, we ask that customers provide any cash tips to the register attendant who will issue a voucher for the tip total to the team member cleaning the car.
We conduct a health screening of our team members daily to ensure a safe environment for all team members, customers, and the overall well-being of the communities in which we serve.
We will continue to review the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and local health officials, we will continue to update our procedures as new information is available.
