The Fight Against COVID-19
Keeping First Responders, Government Staff, and Essential Workers Safe
In these unprecedented times, Autobell® believes we can be part of the solution to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19 in the transportation process.
To aid in keeping first responders, government staff, and essential workers safe, we have repurposed our business model to provide a crucial interior disinfectant service for vehicles. Safely maintaining and disinfecting the vehicles of those who provide vital services is of paramount importance right now.

Flatten The Curve
Recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are focused to flatten the curve on COVID-19. Measures to disinfect vehicles for critical infrastructure workers including first responders, grocery workers, government staff, health care professionals, and other essential workers will help ease the strain that many local health care facilities are facing. To aid in keeping vehicles clean and disinfected, Autobell® team members have applied the Interior Disinfectant service to over 250,000 vehicles. It is vital to alleviate this threat in the transportation component of essential businesses still operating to care and provide for our communities.
Treating with PURTABS™
PURTABS™ is an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against COVID-19. The PURTABS™ product is a concentrated, effervescent tablet that is mixed with water and fogged into the vehicle. The application, once fogged, activates and dissipates during a one-minute treatment. PURTABS™ are used by hospitals, including ICUs; restaurants and food processing facilities; schools; veterinary clinics; and office buildings. Below is a video showing application to a vehicle interior.
Social Distancing is another means to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. Autobell® began early in adjusting procedures to implement social distancing and training team members on the importance. Team members handling cash or debit/credit cards wear sanitary gloves and disinfect cards before returning them to customers. Additionally, social distancing areas are now marked in the register areas to inform and guide customers on appropriate distancing. In the finishing areas, seats have been marked with tape and moved to separate patrons at a minimum distance of 6 feet. The Autobell® safety team is reviewing additional guidance daily from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as guidance from local health officials.
