Keeping Customers and Team Members Safe

The disinfectant solution, PURTABSTM, an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against COVID-19, is fogged into your vehicle during this service. After the solution is emitted into the vehicle, it will circulate and settle during a one-minute treatment designed to eliminate a variety of viruses and bacteria.

What to expect when you arrive

Interior Cleanings:

STEP 1: When you arrive, a team member will greet you while following the six-foot social distance guidelines and help you become familiar with our new process and choose the wash that is right for you.

STEP 2: If you purchase an interior cleaning, you will be directed to the interior disinfection area. Before exiting the vehicle, a team member will instruct you to turn on your AC to the highest setting and recirculate the air. Then all passengers and pets will exit your car while it receives the Interior Disinfectant Service, and you will pay at the register.

STEP 3: A team member equipped with sanitary gloves will accept payment and maintain the six-foot social distance guideline. If payment is by bank or credit card, the team member will spray and wipe the card with a disinfectant before returning the card.

STEP 4: An Autobell® team member will spray or fog the front and rear -passenger areas. The vehicle will sit unoccupied with all doors and windows closed while the solution activates and dissipates.

STEP 5: An Autobell® team member will move the vehicle onto the conveyor for the wash service.

STEP 6: An Autobell® team member will then move the vehicle to our finishing area, where they will wipe down the windows, dash, console, and door panels. They will also hand-dry the exterior of the vehicle and apply any extra services like Tire Gloss or Rain Repellent.

STEP 7: The wash will be complete when the team member reapplies the disinfectant with a towel to touch areas such as the door handles, key fob, steering wheel, push-button start, and gear shift. You will be asked to hold your claim check visible to the team member, who will continue to follow the six-foot social distance guideline, and they will return your keys. You will then exit the lot.

Exterior-Only Washes:

STEP 1: When you arrive, a team member will greet you while following the six-foot social distance guidelines and help you become familiar with our current process and choose the wash that is right for you.

STEP 2: A team member equipped with sanitary gloves will accept payment from you while you remain in your vehicle, maintaining the six-foot social distance guidelines. The team member will return your bank or credit card to you after they spray and wipe your card with a disinfectant. If you prefer, you may exit the vehicle and pay by scanning the card yourself. You may inform the cashier of this preference upon arrival. If a customer exits and pays, they will return to and remain in the vehicle during the wash process.

STEP 3: At the end of the conveyor, Ride-Thru customers will exit the lot. For exterior washes with a hand-dry, you will move the vehicle to our finishing area, where an Autobell® team member will hand-dry the exterior of the vehicle and apply any extra services like Tire Gloss or Rain Repellent.

STEP 4: At the completion of the hand-dry and any extra services, you will exit the lot.
