Leveling Up in November 1

Meet Andrew Kuykendall, the new store manager of Autobell #AAB in Hendersonville, NC.

How do you feel about this new opportunity as a Store Manager?

I know there will be challenges, but I feel prepared thanks to Charles Staton (store manager of #67 in Asheville, NC) who taught me so much over the past couple of years. I'm ready to see what I can accomplish in this new role.

What advice would you give a team member who's thinking about becoming a manager?

Always take care of customers and your team members. We want to go above and beyond so customers will keep returning, and tell others about their positive experiences.

Meet Robert Bowler, the new store manager of Autobell #74 in Lawrenceville, GA.

How do you feel about this new opportunity as a Store Manager?

This opportunity has created more of a drive than ever for me to Brighten the World by Helping Others Shine®. I am overly excited about the future of my store and the relationships that I will be able to create with my fellow team members and returning customers.

What advice would you give a team member who's thinking about becoming a manager?

Three things got me into the position I'm in right now.

One - Asking questions. I feel like this is an obvious one, but I see people who genuinely want to learn more but do not ask enough questions.

Two - Go the extra mile, even if you feel you can't. If you don't know how to go the extra mile, then it goes right back to the first thing. Ask questions. Ask about something you think you can't do, so that you can learn to do it.

Three- Listen to the people above you. They didn't get to where they are for no reason. They were in your shoes at some point and made the same mistakes you did. Use the tools and knowledge that they give you to succeed.

What's the best thing about working at Autobell?

In my opinion, the best thing about Autobell is the opportunity. I got this job thinking I might work here for a year or until I go to college. The speedy and reasonably obtainable opportunities that I have received in the year and a half of working at Autobell is the reason that I am here today. I never thought I would have the opportunity to become a store manager so quickly.

Tell us how you plan to Brighten the World by Helping Others Shine®?

I plan on holding my employees, and ones to come, to the same standards that got me the opportunities that I have now. This will help brighten my employees' career and give customers the Autobell shine that brought them to my store.
