CHARLOTTE, NC (January 10, 2023) -- Autobell® Car Wash, headquartered here, was named one of the 2023 Champions of Charity by car care industry publication Professional Carwashing & Detailing (PC&D).

The new Champions of Charity program recognizes car washing and detailing companies that are making a difference in their communities, businesses, and beyond with their charitable acts and donations. The inaugural class includes ten companies from across the industry.

Autobell® was recognized for its decades of civic and philanthropic activities ranging from academic scholarships for employees; water conversation and environmental protection efforts, including wash water treatment and recycling and participation in waterway cleanups; hosting blood and fund drives for the American Red Cross; fundraisers and support for organizations such as the American Heart Association, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the USO; free car washes for veterans and active-duty service members on Veterans Day; and the opportunity for non-profit groups to raise money through the Autobell® Fundraising Program.

“Charitable commitment at Autobell® stretches back to its earliest days with my late father and company founder, Charlie Howard, and his nonprofit involvement as a Shriner,” said Autobell® CEO Chuck Howard. “He believed wholeheartedly in doing what one can to support and give back to the community, and we have embraced and expanded that vision throughout our markets to champion what is important for our employees, customers, and the environment.”
